# Google Analytics

> Pull your traffic data into your Okara dashboard.

<Info>
  Don't have Google Analytics set up yet? Follow the [Google Analytics setup guide](/guides/google-analytics) first, then come back here to connect it.
</Info>

Connect Google Analytics and your real traffic data, including sessions, users, pageviews, and top pages, appears in your [Traffic tab](/dashboard/analytics/traffic) and updates automatically throughout the day.

***

## What you see after connecting

* **Sessions** over time with daily, weekly, and monthly views
* **Users** — unique visitors
* **Pageviews** — total pages viewed
* **Bounce rate**
* **Top pages** — your highest-traffic pages ranked by sessions

***

## Setup

1. Open **Integrations** from your dashboard sidebar
2. Click **Google Analytics** and then **Connect**
3. Sign in with your Google account
4. Grant read access to your Analytics properties
5. Select the GA4 property for your site

<Note>
  Okara supports Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only. If you're still on Universal Analytics, you'll need to migrate to GA4 first. Google ended UA data collection in 2023.
</Note>

***

## Data sync

Your traffic data syncs automatically once a day. You don't need to trigger a refresh.

***

## Permissions

The integration requests read-only access to your Analytics data. It cannot modify your GA configuration, create goals, or change any settings. Revoke access at any time from your Google account settings or from the Integrations panel.
