# Google Search Console

> Pull your search performance data into your Okara dashboard.

<Info>
  Don't have Google Search Console set up yet? Follow the [Search Console setup guide](/guides/google-search-console) first, then come back here to connect it.
</Info>

Connect Google Search Console and your search performance data, including clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, and top queries, appears in your [Traffic tab](/dashboard/analytics/traffic) and updates automatically.

***

## What you see after connecting

* **Clicks** — how many people clicked through to your site from Google
* **Impressions** — how many times your pages appeared in search results
* **Average CTR** — clicks divided by impressions, expressed as a percentage
* **Average position** — your mean ranking across all queries Google shows you for
* **Top queries** — the search terms driving the most clicks to your site
* **Top pages** — your best-performing pages in Google search

***

## Setup

1. Open **Integrations** from your dashboard sidebar
2. Click **Google Search Console** and then **Connect**
3. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your Search Console property
4. Grant read access
5. Select your site's property from the list

<Note>
  Your site must already be verified in Google Search Console before you can connect it here. If your site isn't verified yet, add it at [search.google.com/search-console](https://search.google.com/search-console) and verify ownership first.
</Note>

***

## Data sync

Search Console data syncs automatically once a day. There is typically a 2 to 3 day lag in Search Console data from Google. This is normal and not specific to Okara.

***

## Using it with your SEO Agent

Once connected, your [SEO Agent](/channels/seo) can cross-reference your Search Console data with its recommendations. Instead of flagging generic issues, it can identify pages getting impressions but not clicks (CTR gaps) or pages stuck on page 2 that could break into page 1 with a targeted fix.

***

## Permissions

The integration requests read-only access to your Search Console data. It cannot modify your site's verification, add or remove users, or change any settings. Revoke access at any time from your Google account or from the Integrations panel.
