About this skill

What is the AI Detection?

The AI Detection skill is Okara’s Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) methodology for keeping content credible: the steps the GEO Agent follows to detect the patterns that make writing read as machine-generated and reshape them into natural, accurate, on-brand copy that readers and AI engines both trust.

It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Read it to understand which signals make text read as AI-written — generic phrasing, flat rhythm, empty adjectives, unverified claims — and how to fix them without sacrificing accuracy, adapt it for your own editorial process, or let the GEO Agent run it across your content.

Downloading the playbook is free with an Okara account. Running detection and humanizing continuously across everything you publish, alongside the rest of your AI-visibility work, is part of the GEO Agent.

Example

See it in action

You ask: Our team ships a lot of AI-assisted content and I’m worried it reads as robotic. Can you check a draft and fix the parts that sound generated?

Agent does: The draft scores high for AI-writing signals in 6 of 18 paragraphs — mostly filler transitions ("In today’s fast-paced world"), uniform sentence length, and empty adjectives with no concrete detail. Two stats had no source, so I flagged them for verification. I rewrote the flagged passages with specific claims, varied cadence, and your brand voice, kept the meaning intact, and re-scored the result: it now reads as authored and every claim is sourced.

How it works

From input to fix list

  1. 1

    You provide the content

Paste a draft or published text, plus any brand voice notes or reference examples.

  2. 2

    Okara scans for AI signals

The GEO Agent scores the text for the patterns that make writing read as machine-generated.

  3. 3

    It flags and diagnoses passages

Each risky sentence is located and labeled with why it reads that way, from listiness to flat rhythm.

  4. 4

    It rewrites and verifies

The agent reshapes flagged passages into natural, on-brand copy, checks every claim is sourced, and re-scores the result.

What's included

Everything it checks

  • AI-likelihood scan

Scores text for the signals that make writing read as machine-generated.

  • Passage-level flagging

Pinpoints the exact sentences and sections that sound generated, not just an overall verdict.

  • Readability & quality scoring

Measures rhythm, specificity, and clarity so you can see quality improve before and after.

  • Humanizing rewrites

Replaces generic patterns with concrete detail, varied cadence, and a consistent voice.

  • Brand-safety guardrails

Verifies claims and citations so humanizing never introduces false or unsourced statements.

  • AI-engine alignment

Shapes content the way AI assistants weigh quality, so it stays trustworthy and citable.

Use cases

When to reach for it

  • Check whether AI-assisted drafts read as genuinely authored before you publish.
  • Rewrite robotic passages into natural, on-brand copy without losing accuracy.
  • Protect brand credibility when publishing content at scale.
  • Catch unverified claims and empty phrasing that undermine trust.
  • Produce content AI engines are more likely to trust and cite.
