About this skill

What is the Content Repurposing?

The Content Repurposing skill is the exact instruction set Okara’s Writer Agent follows when it multiplies an asset. It captures how the agent extracts the atomic ideas from a source piece, maps each to the right format, and adapts the copy for each channel’s norms.

It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that both people and AI agents can follow directly. Read it to build a repeatable repurposing process, hand it to your social and email teams, or let the Writer Agent turn your best assets into weeks of channel-native output.

Downloading the instructions is free with an Okara account. Running the skill continuously — repurposing every major asset into a distribution plan across channels — is part of the Writer Agent.

Example

See it in action

You ask: We just published a 4,000-word state-of-the-industry report. Squeeze everything out of it.

Agent does: I pulled 14 atomic ideas — five standout stats, three frameworks, four quotable takes, and two mini case studies. Here’s the map: a LinkedIn carousel on the top framework, a X thread on the five stats, three newsletter sections, four quote graphics with captions, and a short-video script on the biggest surprise. Each is rewritten for its channel with a native hook and a CTA back to the full report, and I’ve sequenced them across three weeks so the report fuels a whole month of posts.

How it works

From input to fix list

  1. 1

    You pick a source asset

Give the Writer Agent a strong asset — a pillar post, report, webinar, or interview — and your target channels.

  2. 2

    Okara extracts the ideas

The agent pulls the reusable atoms: stats, quotes, steps, frameworks, and examples worth spreading.

  3. 3

    It maps and adapts

Each idea is matched to the right format and rewritten for that channel’s norms, with a native hook and CTA.

  4. 4

    You get a distribution map

Channel-native derivatives sequenced across time, so one asset fuels weeks of output.

What's included

Everything it checks

  • Idea extraction

Breaks a source asset into reusable atoms — stats, quotes, steps, frameworks, and takes.

  • Format mapping

Matches each idea to the channel and format it actually fits.

  • Channel-native adaptation

Rewrites each unit for the channel’s length and norms instead of pasting the same text.

  • Native hooks & CTAs

Every derivative gets a channel-appropriate opening and a clear next step.

  • Multi-format output

Threads, carousels, newsletter sections, video scripts, and quote graphics from one source.

  • Distribution sequencing

Schedules the derivatives across channels and time so one asset lasts weeks.

Use cases

When to reach for it

  • Turn a pillar post into a month of social and email content.
  • Extract threads, carousels, and clips from a webinar or podcast.
  • Get maximum reach from a report you invested heavily in.
  • Feed multiple channels without writing each piece from scratch.
  • Keep a consistent cross-channel presence from a handful of strong assets.
