Reddit reply automation covers several different jobs: finding relevant discussions, preparing a response, sending it for review, and publishing a comment. Before choosing a tool, decide which of those steps you want help with.

Your account or theirs? The decision that matters most

Some tools draft replies that you post from your own account. Others post for you from managed accounts they control. That choice matters more than any feature.

Posting from your own account takes 15–30 minutes a day, but you build a visible history, you can disclose that you work on the product (Redditors respect "I work on X, so I'm biased"), and the reputation you earn stays with you. Managed accounts take almost no time, but the replies usually aren't disclosed, they build nothing for your brand, and moderators are increasingly good at spotting patterns of coordinated promotion. If it's traced back to you, it damages trust in exactly the communities you wanted to win.

Our view: post less often from your own account rather than outsourcing your voice.

1. Redreach: best Reddit-only option on a budget

Redreach scores Reddit posts 0–100 for relevance to your product, drafts unlimited replies in your voice, and flags threads that already rank on Google for your keywords, where a good reply keeps getting traffic for months. It also has a Chrome extension for DM outreach. You post from your own account.

Pricing: three plans: Startup (1 seat), Growth (2 seats) and Professional (3 seats). Its site didn't show prices when we re-checked on October 1, 2026, so confirm them on redreach.ai.

2. Okara: best if you want Reddit replies alongside your other marketing

Okara's Reddit Agent monitors keywords, identifies relevant discussions, summarizes subreddit rules, and drafts replies. You edit and post from your own account; this is not an automatic comment-publishing service.

Best fit: Founders who want help finding and preparing useful contributions alongside other marketing work.

Pricing: The Reddit Agent is on the Pro plan, $249/month ($208 billed annually). The free plan includes the website analysis and marketing strategy.

Evaluate: Check whether the draft answers the actual question and whether every product claim is accurate. Compare the rule summary with the original rules. Manual posting provides an opportunity to review, not immunity from removal.

3. Intoru: matching threads by pain, not keywords

Intoru reads each new public Reddit post and matches it to your product and ICP based on what the author is asking for, even if they never use your keywords. It scores intent, fit and risk separately and delivers each lead with a draft reply. You post it yourself. It covers posts, not comments. Its homepage lists plans from $9.99/month.

4. ReplyAgent: hands-off posting through managed accounts

ReplyAgent finds threads, writes comments and posts them from its own managed Reddit accounts. You pay a monthly fee for the AI features plus a fee for each comment that successfully posts, with a 70% refund if moderators remove it (checked 24 hours after a comment and 48 hours after a post). It's the most complete managed option, with the trade-offs described above.

Pricing: $79/month for AI features ($58/month billed annually), plus $4 per comment and $8 per post if ReplyAgent posts for you. You can also post the drafts from your own account at no per-comment cost.

5. Leadmore AI: managed posting, no charge if removed within 24 hours

Leadmore finds threads, writes comments and posts them through managed accounts, and says it doesn't charge if content is removed within 24 hours. It doesn't publish its prices on its site, so check them before you buy. Same trade-offs as other managed-account services.

6. CrowdReply: managed posting with a minimum spend

CrowdReply posts replies for you from its own accounts. Plans start at $79/month with engagement credits included, and each comment costs $7–10 depending on the plan. The 7-day free trial covers its tracking and listening features, not posting. Same trade-offs as other managed-account services.

7. Headless Fly: posting from your own browser, with buyer alerts

Headless Fly is a browser extension that posts from your own Reddit session instead of an API, so everything goes out from your account. It's mainly a scheduler: it pre-fills your title, flair and text and opens Reddit at the right time. The Pro plan adds buyer alerts, AI-generated titles and a smart reply generator, with a 7-day Pro trial for new accounts. If replies are the main job, a dedicated drafting tool will do more.

8. Build your own: PRAW, n8n, Make, Zapier or Pipedream

If you have a developer, you can build a reply workflow yourself: monitor keywords, draft with an LLM, send to Slack for approval, then post via the API. Maximum control, and you maintain it.

PRAW: a developer-controlled implementation

PRAW is a Python interface to Reddit's API, with methods for working with comments and replies. It is a building block, not a ready-made AI marketing assistant.

Best fit: A technical team with a specific workflow and someone responsible for maintaining it.

Evaluate: Account for authentication, authorized API access, hosting, error handling, and any AI service. The availability of a library does not establish permission for every use case. Require a review queue and a record of what the application submitted.

n8n: a workflow you configure and own

n8n's Reddit integration lists actions to create a top-level comment and reply to an existing comment.

Best fit: Teams that want to customize their process and can support it over time.

Evaluate: Document who owns the connected account, workflow changes, and failed runs. If you choose self-hosting, include infrastructure and maintenance in the decision. The deployment location alone does not determine what data reaches connected services.

Make: visual scenario building

Make's Reddit integration includes comment monitoring and a Submit a Comment action. It supports a visual workflow connecting different steps.

Best fit: Teams that prefer a visual builder and have a defined review process.

Evaluate: Start with a workflow that saves a draft for review. Enable submission only after testing the target, approval decision, and duplicate handling. Confirm the plan and usage needed for all steps.

Zapier: a configurable comment workflow

Zapier's Reddit integration now lists a native Create Comment action for a post or another comment. It also lists search-based triggers.

Best fit: Teams already using Zapier that want to connect discovery, review, and a publishing action.

Evaluate: Build the approval step explicitly. Confirm the correct parent comment or post, and prevent a repeated trigger from producing a duplicate reply. Check plan requirements for the complete workflow, including any separate drafting service.

Pipedream: actions plus custom logic

Pipedream's Reddit components include a comment-submission action. Its workflows can combine reusable actions with custom logic.

Best fit: Teams that want a configurable process and can maintain the integration.

Evaluate: Test what happens when a thread is no longer available or the action fails. Make a retry check the original submission outcome before sending another comment. Include platform usage and any connected services when estimating cost.

How to choose the right tool

Start with the part that consumes your time. If finding appropriate conversations is difficult, compare discovery quality. If you already have the threads, compare drafting and review. If your team needs a handoff between existing systems, evaluate the workflow builders.

Do not compare subscription prices without matching the work. A marketing platform, a paid posting service, and a developer library have different setup costs and responsibilities.

For a useful evaluation, record the source thread, draft, corrections, review time, and final decision. A rejected draft is useful evidence about the tool; do not count only the successful outputs.

What a useful draft looks like

Here is an illustrative example, not a customer interaction or tested product output.

Question: "How do I find out when people mention my small software product on Reddit?"

Possible reply: "Start with your exact product name and common misspellings. Check a sample of the alerts before adding broader problem phrases; those can produce more irrelevant matches. Also decide who will review the alerts and which ones deserve a response."

That answer addresses the question without inventing personal experience or forcing a product mention. If you add a recommendation involving your own company, explain the relationship and keep the claim accurate.

Before posting a draft, ask:

• Does this answer the question being asked now?
• Is the information correct and supported?
• Does it add something beyond the existing replies?
• Is participation allowed under the current community rules?
• Would the response still be useful without the promotional link?

Sometimes the right decision is to save the discussion for research and not reply.

Measure useful participation

Record how many suggestions were relevant, how much editing was needed, and whether anyone asked a meaningful follow-up. Track qualified visits or signups when you can attribute them, but distinguish those from impressions and comment counts.

If you cannot keep up with replies to your own contributions, reduce the workload. More comments are not inherently a better result.

Can human-reviewed AI comments still be removed?

Yes. Review can catch errors, but moderators still decide whether a contribution fits their community. No tool in this guide is presented as a guarantee against removal or account action.

Do I need code?

What if I need original posts rather than replies?
