The HN standard

Hacker News is unforgiving of marketing-speak. Your agent writes to the community’s standard:
  • No hype language — nothing like “revolutionary”, “game-changing”, or “AI-powered” unless technically accurate
  • Builder voice — written like a founder who spent months building this and is genuinely excited to share it
  • Specific and honest — what it does, how it works at a high level, what stage it’s at
  • Short — HN readers don’t want to read a press release

Choosing which version to post

Read all three and pick the one that feels most authentic to you. Edit freely before you post. The final post should sound like you wrote it.

Posting

Show HN posts are manual. Copy your chosen version and post it directly at news.ycombinator.com/submit. Start the title with “Show HN:” followed by your title. There’s no Hacker News API integration for posting. This keeps your submission authentic and your account in good standing.
