Getting started

You can change your website URL through Settings > AI CMO:
  1. Click the profile icon in your sidebar
  2. Go to Settings, then the AI CMO tab
  3. Under Change Product URL, enter your new website URL
  4. Confirm the change
Changing your URL permanently deletes all existing data for your current website — SEO reports, Reddit opportunities, articles, competitor analysis, and all strategy documents. The agent then restarts the full setup for your new URL. This cannot be undone.You cannot change the URL while onboarding is in progress. Wait for the current setup to complete first.
  1. Click the profile icon in your sidebar

  3. Click Change Email
  4. Verify via confirmation link or sign in with Google
The new email must not already be associated with another Okara account.
Free plan: 3 to 5 minutes — website analysis, strategy documents, and SEO audit.Paid plan: 5 to 8 minutes — everything in Free plus Reddit research, article topics, Hacker News ideas, LinkedIn and X post ideas.You can watch progress in real time in the terminal. The system saves progress as it goes, so if anything fails it picks up where it left off.
Try these steps in order:
  1. Refresh your browser — a hard refresh often clears stale data
  2. Check setup status — if onboarding is still running, the dashboard shows limited data until it finishes
  3. Hard refresh — Cmd+Shift+R on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows
  4. Check your connection — make sure you have a stable internet connection
If onboarding failed, a retry button will appear on your dashboard within an hour. Click it to restart from the failed step — previous progress is preserved.If the issue persists, email support@okara.ai with your agent ID and a screenshot of any error.
The system retries automatically up to 3 times. Previous progress is never lost.If it still fails:
  • Check that your website is publicly accessible (not password-protected or behind a login)
  • Verify your URL is correct
  • Use the retry button on your dashboard
  • Email support@okara.ai with your agent ID if the problem continues
Our team is automatically notified of failed onboarding and can resolve issues without re-running the entire setup.

Dashboard and data

Content cards — Reddit replies, X posts, LinkedIn posts, articles, Hacker News pitches, GEO recommendations, and SEO fixes — are generated daily and added to your Agents Feed automatically.SEO and GEO audits refresh daily. On the Free plan, the SEO audit covers your homepage only. On the Paid plan, every sub-page on your site is audited daily.Traffic data from Google Analytics and Search Console syncs once per day once connected.
Existing cards in your Agents Feed won’t change. New opportunities generated after the next 6-hour cycle will use your updated documents. You don’t need to do anything manually.
Audits refresh every 6 hours, but there’s an important distinction: the audit shows what search engines currently see. If you updated your site, those changes won’t appear in the audit until Google has crawled and re-indexed your pages — which can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on your site.GEO visibility in AI search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI, Claude) follows a similar pattern. Changes take time to propagate across AI training and retrieval systems.
The competitor analysis is built from search engine ranking data, website messaging analysis, and AI-powered research. It’s most accurate for direct, well-known competitors. Smaller or niche players may not always appear.The analysis reflects your market at the time of setup. You can add competitors manually from the Company panel at any time, and running a Website Refresh will re-discover competitors based on your current site.
Okara monitors your channels every 6 hours and continuously discovers new opportunities. Your Company panel holds your strategy documents — update them any time and future content will reflect the changes.For bigger shifts like a rebrand, new product positioning, or a site redesign, use Website Refresh to have your agent re-read your site and regenerate all documents from scratch.
All data is permanently deleted immediately — opportunities, documents, analytics, strategy documents, and generated content. Email notifications stop. This cannot be recovered.Transaction history is retained for financial and legal compliance.

Credits

Credits are how Okara measures usage. Every action your agent takes — generating an article, drafting a Reddit reply, running an SEO audit — draws from your credit balance.Free plan users get 5 credits (one-time). Paid plan users get 2,000 credits per month, which reset on your billing anniversary.See the Credits page for a full breakdown of what each action costs.
Monthly credits are included with your Paid plan and reset every billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not carry forward.Top-up credits are purchased separately and never expire. They carry forward month to month until used, even if you renew your subscription.Top-up packs are available from Settings > Credits in your dashboard.
If your balance hits zero, your agent pauses its scheduled runs until credits are available. No new content will be generated until you either purchase a top-up or wait for your monthly reset.You’ll see a warning in your dashboard when your balance drops below 20% so you have time to act before anything stops.

New opportunities are generated daily. Each agent runs on its own schedule and adds cards to your feed automatically. New items are highlighted so you can see what’s just arrived.Paid users receive a daily digest email summarising what’s new across all active agents.
The Articles Writer Agent generates full SEO-optimized article drafts based on:
  • Keyword gaps where competitors rank but you don’t
  • Common questions from your target audience on Reddit
  • Trending topics in your space
  • Content angles your competitors aren’t covering
Each article comes with a target keyword, secondary keywords, estimated word count, difficulty score, and suggested approach. You review the draft, edit if needed, and publish directly to your connected CMS (WordPress, Webflow, or Framer) with one click.
Yes. Multiple Projects is available on the Paid plan and lets you run a completely independent AI CMO for each product or website you manage.Each project gets its own strategy documents, SEO audit, Agents Feed, analytics, and integrations. Use the project switcher in the terminal header to jump between them.See Multiple Projects for details.
Reddit is always manual. Okara drafts the reply and surfaces the thread, but you copy it and post yourself. This keeps your account authentic and avoids Reddit’s anti-spam detection.X and LinkedIn can be posted with a single click once you connect your account via Integrations. There is no fully automatic posting — every post requires you to click Publish or Post. You stay in control of what goes out.
Yes. Each active agent has a Writing Instructions panel in your Agents Feed settings. You can set:
  • Tone and style — how formal, technical, or casual the writing should be
  • Keywords to include or avoid
  • Target region or market — useful if you’re focused on a specific geography
  • Priority subreddits — for the Reddit Agent, you can specify which communities to monitor
Changes take effect on the next daily run.
Archived cards are never permanently deleted. They move to the Archived tab in your Agents Feed, where you can review them at any time.If Okara finds the same thread or topic again in a future run, a new card is created — your archived cards are not affected.
Each SEO fix card in your Agents Feed has a Fix button. Click it and Okara applies the fix via whichever method you have connected:
  • WordPress or Webflow — the fix is applied directly to your CMS
  • GitHub — Okara opens a pull request against your repository with the proposed change
  • Manual — if neither is connected, the card shows you exactly what to change and where
Fixes are not applied automatically. You always review before anything changes on your site.
Yes, on the Paid plan. Go to Settings > Team, click Invite teammate, and enter their email. They’ll receive an invite link valid for 7 days.You can also generate a read-only shareable link from the Share menu for advisors, investors, or contractors who just need to view the dashboard.See Team Sharing for details.

Privacy and data

During setup, Okara reads your homepage, pricing page, and all publicly accessible pages it can find via your sitemap. It does not access anything behind a login, paywall, or password.The data is used to build your strategy documents, understand your product positioning, and generate relevant content. It is not shared with other users or used to train external models.
Yes. Deleting your account permanently removes all data immediately — strategy documents, SEO reports, Agents Feed history, analytics, and generated content. This cannot be recovered.To delete your account, go to Settings > Account and follow the deletion steps.
