What Rankshift costs and what you get

Rankshift sells credits, not prompts. Every plan includes all nine models it tracks (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Mistral, Meta AI, Claude and Microsoft Copilot), unlimited projects and seats, API and MCP access, a content brief generator and an AI content writer. Only the credit allowance changes between plans.

The credit math, in plain terms

Each time a model answers a prompt, Rankshift deducts credits: 2 for ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Mistral, Perplexity and Meta AI, and 5 for Claude and Copilot. Starter's "150 prompts / day" is 150 prompts x 1 model x 2 credits x 30 days = 9,000 credits. The headline assumes you track one model.

For ChatGPT and Google alone, that's generous. The trouble starts when you switch on "all models".

Why people look for Rankshift alternatives

The headline isn't what you get. Tracking all nine models daily leaves about 13 prompts on Starter, and Claude and Copilot cost two and a half times the others.
Budgeting takes work. When capacity depends on engine mix and cadence, it's hard to give finance one figure.
The entry price. $82 to $92 is fair for what's included, but Rankscale starts at $20 and Otterly.AI at $29.
Coverage and follow-through. Rankshift doesn't list Grok or DeepSeek, and while it drafts briefs and articles, it doesn't change your site.
Vendor size. Rankshift is a small, independently funded Belgian team, and SSO is Enterprise-only.

SE Visible: fixed prompts across five engines

SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility product. Basic costs $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, for 200 prompts checked daily across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, about 30,000 answers a month. Tracking those same five engines daily on Rankshift leaves about 31 prompts on Starter and 73 on Professional ($189 to $210). For fixed-price, daily, multi-engine tracking, nothing here beats it.

The trade-offs: Claude is "coming soon", Copilot, Mistral and Meta AI aren't tracked, Basic allows 3 projects, and several reporting features are marked "coming soon". SE Ranking Core ($129, or $103.20 annually) bundles 100 daily prompts across 5 LLMs with a full SEO suite, though SE Ranking's pages disagree on whether its AI Search add-on includes Gemini. The trial is 10 days. The real site is visible.seranking.com; sevisible.com redirects to an unrelated agency.

Peec AI: the same budget, with prompts instead of credits

Peec AI Starter costs $95 a month, or $80 billed annually, for 50 prompts run daily on 3 models you choose from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Pro is $245 ($205 annually) for 150 prompts.

Peec isn't cheaper: Rankshift Starter with three standard models daily covers about 52 prompts for similar money. You gain a number that doesn't move, plus more analysis: gap analysis of sources that cite competitors but not you, ranked recommended actions, AI crawler analytics and brand perception scoring.

What you give up: extra models are paid add-ons (listed at $30 a month on Starter, next to an annual-billing label), and Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, API access and SSO sit on custom-priced Enterprise. Otterly.AI: the cheapest fixed-price start

Otterly.AI Lite costs $29 a month ($25 annually) for 15 prompts tracked daily across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Gemini and Google AI Mode add $9 each on Lite and Claude $29, so all seven engines comes to $76, still below Rankshift Starter.

Lite includes unlimited team members, 1,000 GEO URL audits a month and 3 recommendations a week, but 1 workspace, no API or MCP, and no extra prompts. The next plan, Standard, jumps to $189 ($160 annually) for 100 prompts. For comparison, Rankshift Starter covers about 28 prompts on Otterly's four default engines daily, at roughly three times Lite's price.

Okara: fewer engines, more follow-through

Rankshift buyers usually want all nine models on one credit pool. Okara is narrower. Its GEO Agent tracks 15 fixed prompts, the ones your customers actually type, in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Claude, Perplexity and Copilot aren't covered.

What you get instead is the work after the report. A site audit checks 100+ GEO data points. Citation gaps show, for each prompt, which competitor domains get cited instead of you, rated by priority with the reason. Outreach research pulls the sources ChatGPT and AI Mode cite and names the blogs, publications and YouTubers that mention competitors, with who to contact, why they matter and what to send. Rankscale: credits, but a much lower floor

If credits don't bother you and you just want to pay less, Rankscale is the closest match. Essentials is $20 a month ($17 annually) with unlimited search terms and 120 credits. Most engines cost 0.25 credits a run, so that's about 480 answers a month, roughly 16 prompts on one engine daily. Pro is $99 ($84.15 annually) for up to 4,800 answers, almost exactly what Rankshift Starter buys on standard models (about 4,750).

Every plan includes ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Mistral, Claude, DeepSeek and Grok (marked experimental), but not Meta AI. Claude costs 8 times a normal run, so Claude-heavy tracking is cheaper on Rankshift. Pro rolls credits over (up to 2x) and has a 7-day trial. Rankscale doesn't write content or fix pages.

Frase: tracking tied to the content you publish

Frase is a content platform with AI visibility bundled in. Starter is $49 a month ($39 annually) for 50 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT and "Google AI" (Frase doesn't say whether that means AI Overviews or AI Mode). Perplexity needs Professional ($129, or $103 annually), and Claude and Gemini need Scale ($299, or $239 annually).

Its edge is the step after the report. Rankshift drafts briefs and articles; Frase can also publish to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix or its own CMS if you opt in, and Content Guard spots pages losing Google traffic, writes a fix and republishes on approval.

On engines it trails badly, and Starter stops hard at its limits and keeps only 30 days of AI visibility history. The trial is 7 days, no card. Frase suits content teams whose answer to weak AI visibility is better pages, published faster.

Writesonic: fixed prompts plus articles and site audits

Writesonic Starter is $99 a month, or $79 billed annually (paid upfront), for 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, refreshed daily. Its plan table caps Starter at 50 answers a day, which reads as one answer per prompt, so don't assume each prompt runs on all three engines daily.

Starter includes 15 AI articles and 10 site audits a month with "Automatic AI Fixes". The Action Center, which carries out on-page, off-page and technical actions, is a trial on Growth ($399 to $499) and full only on Enterprise, as are Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and AI Mode.

So Writesonic trades Rankshift's engine breadth for a fixed prompt count with a writer and site audits attached. Starter includes one user. The trial is 7 days, no card.

Search Atlas: automatic technical fixes, credit-metered tracking

Search Atlas is an SEO automation suite. Its OTTO SEO agent deploys technical and on-page fixes (titles, schema, canonicals, redirects, internal links) through a JavaScript pixel, Cloudflare, your CMS or a code pipeline, with an optional approval mode.

AI visibility starts on Growth at $199 a month ($159 annually): 3,500 credits, where 1 credit is one query on one platform for one refresh, across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode. Perplexity and Copilot need Pro ($399, or $319 annually), and AI Overviews isn't on the pricing page. One query daily on three platforms uses about 90 credits a month, so Growth covers roughly 38 queries.

It doesn't solve the credit problem, and its product page mentions Claude while the pricing page doesn't. It suits agencies that want fixes automated and treat tracking as secondary.

Qwairy: more engines, fewer answers

Qwairy is credit-based like Rankshift and lists 10 providers on every plan, including Grok and DeepSeek. Starter is €79 a month ($89), or €65 billed annually, for up to 100 prompts and 1,300 credits, where 1 credit is one prompt on one model for one day.

That's about 43 answers a day, against about 158 on Rankshift Starter at a similar price. At that rate, 100 prompts on three engines fits a weekly schedule, not a daily one.

In its favor: a free plan (120 credits, no card), rollover of unused credits, an Action Center with content and backlink opportunities, and Content Studio for articles in 45+ languages. Claude, Mistral and DeepSeek are tracked through APIs, not the consumer apps. Pick it for Grok, DeepSeek or a free tier, not for volume.
