Okara

Lovie uses Okara to market its growing financial infrastructure platform—from company formation and banking to virtual cards, equity management, and token operations—without hiring a separate marketing team for every product.

Lovie is building the financial infrastructure layer for starting and running a company. Its platform brings together company formation, virtual cards, banking, cap-table and equity management, and token operations as API-first, MCP-enabled services.

There’s never been a better time to build a company. AI is making it possible for more people to turn an idea into a real business, and we want more founders to discover what’s possible and feel empowered to start. Lovie is an AI-native company, but for a long time we couldn’t find a truly AI-native marketing product that matched the way we build and operate. Okara was the first that felt like it was built for companies like ours.

The goal is to take someone from “I want to start a company” to a formed entity, bank account, and issued cards within a single AI-driven session.

Lovie needed to market each of those products individually—without hiring a separate marketing team for every product line.

“There’s never been a better time to build a company. AI is making it possible for more people to turn an idea into a real business, and we want more founders to discover what’s possible and feel empowered to start. The challenge

Lovie’s team follows a philosophy it calls “manager of one.” Everyone owns a complete product vertical end to end: building it, distributing it, marketing it, and supporting it.

“We all have access to AI, and with the power of AI, we should be able to own one whole thing end to end across any role. If I’m responsible for virtual credit cards, I should be able to build the product, and then I should also be able to distribute it, market it, and support it.”

Daniel, Manager of One, Lovie

That philosophy works well for shipping products, but it also means a small team must cover work traditionally handled by a marketing hire, SEO agency, content writer, and community manager.

Lovie must do that for every product line it launches—from company formation and virtual cards to banking, equity management, cap-table tooling, and token operations.

Why Okara

Lovie discovered Okara through word of mouth within its founder network, and the fit was immediate.

Lovie itself is built MCP-first, so a marketing platform with the same AI-native architecture felt like a natural part of its existing stack rather than a separate, bolted-on tool.

Several aspects stood out to the team:

  • AI-first architecture: Okara connects with Lovie’s existing AI stack instead of requiring a separate workflow.
  • A simple, technical interface: Lovie’s largely technical team can understand the important information without navigating a traditional marketing suite.
  • Campaigns scoped to individual products: Lovie treats each product almost like its own company, with a distinct audience and go-to-market motion.

“Having interfaces feel more devx-oriented is very convenient, especially for me checking in. We’ve come from the world of writing code by hand, so these compact, curated interfaces are really great. That’s what I like most.”

Formation, powered by Okara

Formation is Lovie’s flagship live product. It helps founders—many of whom operate outside the United States—register a US company, appoint a registered agent, and establish US operations in minutes rather than weeks.

It is also the product for which Lovie has used Okara most extensively.

By running SEO and content campaigns through Okara, Lovie achieved:

  • A 56% improvement in average search position
  • A 73% increase in click-through rate from search
  • A 20% increase in US traffic
  • Company formation in approximately 5–6 minutes

Overall site visits also increased significantly whenever the team was actively running campaigns.

The increase in US traffic was particularly meaningful because Formation’s existing audience already skewed heavily international. This growth represented genuinely new reach rather than a shift within Lovie’s established audience.

“Formation has been boosted heavily, I think, because of the way that we’ve leveraged Okara.”

What’s next

Lovie is preparing to launch virtual cards and banking, built with banking partner Increase, alongside a desktop application.

Its equity, cap-table, and token-operations products are already available in beta.

As each product launches, Lovie plans to apply the same product-by-product marketing approach through Okara that has already worked for Formation.
