# Case Study

A case study is evidence. Its power comes from a specific customer, a real
problem, a clear intervention, and measurable results — told as a story a
prospect can see themselves in.

About this skill

What is the Case Study?

The Case Study skill is the instruction set Okara’s Writer Agent uses to turn a customer win into a story a prospect trusts. It follows the challenge, solution, and results arc, insists on concrete metrics, and places quotes where they carry weight — so the finished piece reads like evidence, not a testimonial dressed up as an article.

It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that both people and AI agents can follow directly. Read it to understand the structure, adapt it for your team, or let the Writer Agent draft the study from your notes or an interview transcript.

Downloading the instructions is free with an Okara account. Turning customer wins into full case studies plus sales-ready one-pagers is part of the Writer Agent.

The instinct to check before buying isn’t unique to consumers: research consistently finds the large majority of shoppers — surveys commonly put the figure above 90% — read reviews or third-party proof before purchasing, and B2B buyers evaluating software do the equivalent by looking for case studies. A case study is that proof, formalized: a named customer, a real problem, and a number that isn’t yours to claim. Skip the metric or soften the customer’s voice and the page stops doing the one job it exists to do.

Example

See it in action

You ask: Write a case study for a customer who cut onboarding time from 3 weeks to 4 days using our platform.

Agent does: Here’s the draft. It opens with the customer and the stakes — a fast-scaling team drowning in a three-week manual onboarding. The challenge section quantifies the cost (delayed ramp, support load), the solution section shows what they changed and why, and the results section leads with the headline metric — three weeks to four days, an 81% cut — backed by two supporting numbers and a customer quote at the turning point. It closes with what’s next for them. I flagged three spots where a real metric or quote would strengthen it. Want a one-page version and a short summary for the sales team?
