About this skill
What is the Content Brief?
The Content Brief skill is the exact instruction set Okara’s Writer Agent follows when it writes a brief. It captures how the agent locks the goal, profiles the audience, sets a differentiating angle, and specifies structure — so a writer, human or AI, can execute without guesswork.
It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that both people and AI agents can follow directly. Read it to standardize how your team briefs work, hand it to your editors, or let the Writer Agent generate briefs for your topic pipeline.
Downloading the instructions is free with an Okara account. Running the skill continuously to brief every piece in your content pipeline is part of the Writer Agent.
That homework happens before anyone reaches a writer: B2B buyers now complete a large majority of their own research — commonly cited estimates put it at roughly 60–70%+ of the buying journey — before contacting a salesperson, working through several pieces of content along the way. A brief is where that reality gets built in or gets ignored: get the angle and audience wrong and the piece joins the pile a self-educating buyer skims past; get it right and it’s one of the few that earns the read.
Example
See it in action
You ask: “Brief a post targeting "marketing attribution models" for our analytics tool.”
Agent does: Goal: rank for "marketing attribution models", mid-funnel, to feed your analytics trial. Audience: growth marketers who know the term but not which model to use — takeaway is "pick the right model for your sales cycle." Angle: a practical picker, not another definitions listicle. Structure: three title options, seven required H2s (one per model plus a "how to choose" section), and the key point each must land. Specs: 1,800 words, expert-but-plain voice, five required entities, two internal links, CTA to your attribution feature. Plus three sources to cite and the two competitor posts to beat.
