The skill file
--- name: x-post description: Write a single high-performing X (Twitter) post — one sharp idea, a strong first line, and a reason to engage — sized and shaped for the timeline. owner: Okara X Agent --- # X Post One post, one idea. On X the first line decides whether anyone reads the rest, and the timeline is unforgiving. This skill turns a thought into a post built to stop the scroll and earn replies, reposts, and follows.

About this skill
What is the X Post?
The X Post skill is the exact approach Okara’s X Agent follows to write a single high-performing post. It packages how to reduce a message to one idea, write a first line that stops the scroll, and give people a reason to engage, so your posts land instead of disappearing down the timeline.
It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Read it to understand what makes a post travel on X, adapt it for your own voice, or let the X Agent apply it every time you post.
Downloading the instructions is free with an Okara account. Running the skill continuously — posting consistently in your voice and learning what your audience engages with — is part of the X Agent.
The same dynamic shows up on every algorithmic feed, X included: early engagement in the minutes right after you post — the first replies, reposts, and quote-tweets — is what tips the timeline into showing a post to more people, not the raw number of posts you put out in a week. That is the real reason this skill spends nearly all its effort on the first line and the reason to reply: a post has to earn its own early signal before volume can help it at all.
Example
See it in action
You ask: “Turn this into a good tweet: our analytics tool now shows which features drive retention.”
Agent does: Lead with the tension, not the feature: "Most teams ship features nobody keeps using. We just shipped the opposite — you’ll finally see which features actually drive retention." One idea, hook on line one, payoff on line two. Drop the product link in a reply instead of the post so reach isn’t throttled, skip the hashtags, and post around 9am when your builder audience is online. Then reply to the first few responses to feed early engagement.

How it works
From input to output
- 1
You provide the core idea
Paste the message you want to get across, plus any link, image, or audience note.
- 2
Okara reduces it to one idea
The X Agent picks the single sharpest point, because a post that says three things says none.
- 3
It writes the hook
You get a first line built to stop the scroll and a second line that pays it off — in plain, timeline-native language.
- 4
You post with a plan
The agent advises where to put links, whether to add media, and when to post so your audience is online.
What's included

Tight, native copy
Cuts every wasted word into plain, timeline-native language that reads human.
Engagement angle
Adds the takeaway, question, or angle that earns replies and reposts.
Link & hashtag placement
Advises where to put links and when a single hashtag helps instead of hurts.
Posting-time guidance
Suggests when to post so your audience is actually online to see it.

When to reach for it
- Turn a single insight or update into a post built to stop the scroll.
- Test a hook or angle before expanding it into a thread.

- Post consistently without agonizing over every word.
- Rewrite a flat, feature-first tweet into one that earns engagement.
