The Links tab shows you the full picture of who is linking to your site, how many links you have, where they come from, and whether they’re helping or hurting your search ranking.
Summary metrics
At the top you will see your headline numbers:
- Total backlinks — the total number of inbound links to your site
- Referring domains — the number of unique domains linking to you (more meaningful than raw link count)
- Spam score — an indicator of how many low-quality or spammy links are pointing to you
A high spam score can drag down your search ranking. If yours is elevated, the issues list will flag the worst offenders.
Link health breakdown
Your backlinks are categorized by quality:
| Category | What it means |
|---|
| Healthy | High-authority links from relevant, trusted sources |
| Moderate | Acceptable links that aren’t hurting you |
| At risk | Low-quality or irrelevant links worth monitoring |
| Toxic | Links that may actively harm your ranking |
Top referring domains
The table shows your most valuable referring domains, sorted by domain authority. These are the sites whose links carry the most weight for your search ranking.
TLD distribution
A breakdown of your links by top-level domain (.com, .org, .io, .co, and so on). A healthy profile has a natural mix. An unusual concentration in one TLD can be a signal of unnatural link building.
