About this skill
What is the Media Kit?
The Media Kit skill is the exact approach Okara’s Influencer Agent follows to build the document that gets a creator or brand taken seriously. It leads with who the audience is rather than how many there are, states honest and dated numbers, proves past results with outcomes instead of screenshots, and publishes rates — because hiding them costs more deals than a high number does.
It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Use it if partnership threads keep stalling on the same questions, or if your pitches are being ignored.
Downloading the instructions is free with an Okara account. Running the skill — the kit built, metrics kept current, and outreach handled — is part of the Influencer Agent.
The number a media kit ultimately has to make credible is real: benchmark research (Influencer Marketing Hub-style studies) has repeatedly measured average influencer-marketing ROI at several dollars back per dollar spent — commonly cited around $5–6 — with micro-influencers often outperforming celebrity endorsements on engagement and conversion. A kit built on honest, dated audience data and outcome proof is what lets a brand actually underwrite that return instead of guessing at it.
Example
See it in action
You ask: “I send my media kit to brands and never hear back. It has my follower count and my best posts.”
Agent does: It rebuilds around what the brand is actually buying: access to a specific group of people, not a number. So the audience profile goes first — role, location, spending behavior, interests — and the follower count becomes supporting detail. The screenshot grid gets replaced with proof: what a past collaboration actually produced, in clicks and signups, named. Numbers get dated so a reader knows they are current, and none are inflated, because one check ends the conversation permanently. Then it adds the two things missing entirely: clear packages with deliverables, revisions, timeline, and usage rights, and your rates in writing — hiding them is why brands with a fixed budget move on to someone who published theirs. It ends with a named contact and a response time, since the most common cause of a dead thread is nobody answering.
