# Review Response Generator

Every public review response is read by far more prospects than reviewers. A
good reply to a bad review converts skeptics; a defensive one confirms the
complaint for everyone scrolling past.

About this skill

What is the Review Response?

The Review Response skill is the exact approach Okara’s AI CMO follows to reply to public reviews. It starts from the fact that prospects, not reviewers, are the real audience: acknowledge the specific issue in the reviewer’s own words, never argue publicly, and lead with what changed — because "we shipped a fix in March" is the most persuasive sentence available to someone deciding whether the problem still exists.

It’s written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Use it to clear a backlog of unanswered reviews, to handle a harsh one well, or to make responses consistent across whoever writes them.

Downloading the instructions is free with an Okara account. Running the skill — reviews monitored across platforms, drafts ready within hours, and repeated themes flagged as product signals — is part of the Okara AI CMO.

Example

See it in action

You ask: We got a brutal two-star G2 review and half of it is factually wrong. How do we respond?

Agent does: It reframes who the reply is for: the prospect comparing vendors will read this thread, and the reviewer probably will not read it twice. So no argument, even where they are wrong — the factual correction gets stated calmly once, without contesting their experience, and the rest goes offline. The opening references the specific issue in their words rather than "sorry you had a bad experience," which reads as a template and gets discounted. The strongest line available is what changed: the fix, with the month it shipped, or an honest "not yet" if there is not one. Then it flags that this is the third review mentioning the same friction, which makes it a product signal rather than a writing problem — responding to each one individually without fixing it is theatre.

How it works

From input to output

  1. 1

    You share the review

Paste the review and platform, plus what actually happened on your side if you know.

  2. 2

    Okara writes for the audience

The AI CMO drafts a reply aimed at the prospect reading the thread, not just the reviewer.

  3. 3

    It leads with what changed

A specific acknowledgment, a calm correction where needed, and the fix with its timeline.

  4. 4

You post and route the pattern

Details go offline, the outcome stays public, and repeated themes get flagged as product signals.

What's included

Everything it covers

  • Fast turnaround

Drafts within the 24–48 hour window, after which a reply reads as indifference.

  • Written for prospects

Every choice made for the buyer reading the thread rather than the reviewer alone.

  • Specific acknowledgment

References the actual issue in their words instead of a generic apology opener.

  • Calm corrections

States a factual correction once without arguing or contesting their experience.

  • "What changed" line

The fix and its date — the most persuasive sentence available in a public reply.

  • Pattern flagging

Spots when several reviews share one theme, which makes it a product signal.

Use cases

When to reach for it

  • Clear a backlog of unanswered reviews across G2, Google, and app stores.
  • Answer a harsh review without making it worse.
  • Make responses consistent no matter who writes them.
  • Turn a review profile from a liability into a sales asset.
  • Surface the repeated complaint that is actually a product problem.
